I doubt health care was an issue when Massachusetts voters elected a Republican Senator given that Massachusetts enacted a health care reform bill in 2006 giving all its residents access to healthcare. Polls show that Massachusetts’s residents are happy with their health care and support their states reforms which are similar to Obama's. Massachusetts also legalized gay marriage. I would hardly consider Massachusetts a red state. Independent voters that are indecisive and can’t commit elected the new Senator. Republicans need to stop making invalid associations and assuming that human rights, religion, health care and patriotism are partisan issues.
